Here are 10 ways to relieve the stress and sore muscles:
- Message the area with nice even strokes, so that you get the blood moving.
- Ice the area for 10 minutes and then put warm compresses on it for 10 more minute
s. - Going for a gentle walk too get the circulation going...Maybe a walk in the park or woods.
- Elevate the area in a rest position for a half hour.
- Do some very gentle stretches, to get the circulation moving.
- Incorporate another easy exercise that uses different muscles, sometimes that counteracts the stiffness and brings support to the sore muscles.
- Keep exercises easy for right now...Increase work- out after your muscles have adjusted.
- A warm or cool bath is soothing.
- Eating foods with a mixture of protein and carbohydrates after your work - out . Studies have shown that these foods help to heal the muscles quicker.
- Lastly...If you really feel you just can't stand the pain and need relief... Ibuprofen or something with aspirin will help.
