Running and Yoga

Runner's Yoga Just 30 minutes of Quality Fitness Increases Your Mind Body and Spirit

What is Runner's Yoga?

Running and Yoga is a Total Mind-Body Workout you can do on your own ... almost anywhere ... in just 30 minutes!

I found this program and I am glad I did...What a program! As you may know from my past posts, I mentioned I was a runner. I love it! Although the hardest part about running is not the running, but the injuries, and aches and pains that happen after. Every runner I know has had problems with injuries. Sometimes when frustration sets in because of an injury, I wonder if I should just quit running. When I get pain from injuries, I try to do my best and stay off of running for awhile and nurse the injury. One day I would like to do a marathon, but I worry because injuries seem interrupt my training. Training for a marathon is hard work! Injuries and training for a marathon is almost impossible.

Runner's Yoga way!

I found this program and it is wonderful! It's not for just runners... It's for anybody. Your mother, father, grandmother or sister! If you are interested in giving your body a lift towards strength, agility and inner peace. I strongly recommend this program for YOU.

This... Quality Fitness Increases Your Mind Body and Spirit and will help you download from your day.

So...

Next time in your AWAY SPACE...Make this time yours and do some Yoga the

Runner's Yoga way!

When you get this program you will be excited and eager to do it every day. This program is for anybody of all fitness levels!!!! Best of all it is really peaceful and fun!

Olympic Champions ... Busy Moms ... Business Executives ... even people who hate running love the Runner's Yoga Program! The Comprehensive Instructional Material takes you step-by-step, second-by-second through each movement, every powerful breath, with options for all levels of fitness and flexibility. Who thought yoga could be like this?

Athletic Running Woes -

Side Tracked But I'm Still Running...

What a year of confusion. This blog shows confusion and my life was just the same. Thank you to all my loyal readers for hanging in there. I hope the posts in the past have helped you find yourself in your life and also helped your running. I know they helped me.
I really want to get back to telling you about my runs and how everything is going! Most of all I want to bring you as much information that you need to know about running, so that you can create goals that will enhance your running and your life.

I'm still running...

I still think of running...

My running shoes are patiently sitting by my back door waiting like an anxious puppy to take them out for a run, but the mind that runs in them was all amiss.

Now you get to hear about my excuses:
The weather this winter was too cold to even think about running and the bush was 2 to 3 feet with snow. It was too hard to pack a trail, I couldn't keep up with the amount of snow to pack it down. To add to my troubles were 10 pounds of lovely fat that quite uncomfortably gathered around my midriff.
Leaping through deep snow in the freezing cold with that kind of weight wasn't something I looked forward to. So... Those of you out there thinking that running will always keep you thin...Think again...If you are not eating correctly, you can just as easily gain weight.

A Tidbit of Information:
My body is extremely intelligent... Along with every other women out there it gets used to running and decides to slow down its metabolism. It does this to keep precious fat just in case it becomes famine stricken. The good thing is women will last longer than men in this type of situation. The bad thing is we women are really good at harbouring FAT!

My Most Annoying Moments:
What was my most annoying moments?
It was hearing stories of people losing tons of weight doing no exercising or some exercise regiment that I didn't think was nearly as hard as what I do, and still losing weight!
I stopped losing weight and started gaining it even though I was doing long runs! I would run for an hour and a half and step on the scale the next day...Unhappy to find I gained a pound or 2!

This is I WHY I GOT SO SIDE TRACKED! I didn't want to run so much anymore because of all of these reasons...TOO cold, too deep and too fat! I don't know if you all know exactly what I mean, because I really love running and have been running most of my life. For the last 3 years I have been running seriously and thought I'd follow a program to increase my mileage among other things.
I don't want to say this, but I am going to say this anyway...

WAS RUNNING DOING NOTHING FOR ME?

So this is how I got to the mode of being "side tracked but I'm still running..." I felt like running was a great big scribble in my head. No... I didn't quit at first... I just kept on running... Like a zombie in a field confused about life. What was I running for? Was the enjoyment of doing my favourite sport gone?

After much study and research I came to the conclusion that YES running was doing lots for me. (Even though I was betwixt) And for my second question NO my enjoyment wasn't gone.
I just needed a break.

I still run those trails every day in my head, but I miss it terribly!

NOW:
The snow is gone, it is not too cold and I've actually taken off 10 pounds and some more.

Quickly turn around - Come back to your favorite sport!

Tomorrow I going back to running outside of my head...After having a good 4 months off, it's going to feel like I am starting all over again!
I can't wait...
My next post I'll give you some of my OWN juicy secrets on losing weight and how my first run felt!

Something that I am very bad at remembering is to hydrate...So remember when you get back from a run to hydrate responsibly.
